I'd been interested in self-defense for some time, but had a hard time finding a martial art that fit my energy and worldview. The specific techniques of judo confused me, and the fierce aggression of Krav Maga turned me off. What I found in Systema was more than just self-defense (though it's awesome for that) — I found a better way to live. Whether I'm pitching a creative concept to an advertising client, embodying a variety of physical characters on stage or screen, or just trying to fall without getting hurt, Systema helps me control my tension and breathe through whatever comes my way.

Outside of my Systema passion, I'm a writer, actor, and marketer who specializes in digital content creation. When I'm not dodging punches in class, you can find me acting in a live theater performance, writing a screenplay, or trying to impress people that I know more about cigars and whiskey than I actually do. Like Systema, I enjoy pursuits that leave me plenty of room to grow.
